How do Botulinum toxin procedures work?

It's a reasonably straightforward process. A very fine needle is used to inject a small quantity of the toxin into the areas needing treatment. The toxin causes the muscles to relax, and the lines or wrinkles soften. You'll start to see the effects of the procedure after about a week, with further improvements happening over the next month or so. For most people, the improvements last for about three months.
